The Attention Economy in WEB3

The attention economy started with the early adoption of the World Wide Web. The entity or person with high attention or followers can make something more possible.

The opportunity is wide enough. They can make an affiliate link, sell something, or form a partnership.

In Web3, the attention economy started a long time ago. The year of launchpad and ICO is 2017. The web3 project tries to gain more attention to sell its token.

Here in 2024, gamifying the attention economy is more structured. The platform for doing this is X.

You can create insightful content to claim the leaderboard for the rewards.

In my spare time, I still create some content in my X account. I pivoted to three projects right now: Base, Wallchain, and Kaito.

This is the era of the attention economy; while you have a great follower, you can make some money.

I started to think seriously about the attention economy, where the aidrop meta is shifted to it.

The starting point is always hard. After a month of post and grind, my yap and quack points are not significantly increased.

There are so many people engaged in attention farming and I think that’s not how I work.

I prefer to create insightful content because it’s my personal branding right now.
